Popham Spitty and Angry Bird Practice
A practice session for the Popham Spitty and Angry Bird flying will take place on Saturday 11th April at the BMAC Field. The practice will take place at 11:00 am and everyone should be ready to fly their Spitties at that time. Angry Bird practice will follow a little later that morning.
Please make sure that your models are checked-out and ready to fly.
This is a requirement to confirm that all is well prior to the displays at Popham.
The objective is for each pilot to fly their Spitty and / or Angry Bird to show that it is suitably set-up and to practice the launch sequence and holding pattern. In order to preserve the models, we do not plan to have combat during the practice!
At the Popham event, Mike Holt will be the flight marshal and will signify with a whistle the three markers in the display: Launch; Start Combat and; Land. This will be demonstrated and then trialled on this practice day.
There will be some disruption to other flying but we expect this to be limited to, probably, two twenty minute slots.
Last minute confirmation (regarding the weather) will be sent on Friday.
